“Continuing the exhausting seven days that comprised World Autism Awareness Week, SAS found themselves at Quarry House in Leeds, home to the Department of Health, NHS England and the Department of Work and Pensions (hope they all get along) and delivering two autism awareness sessions. Leeds member, Gregor delivered a heartfelt piece about his own experiences of having autism and moving into the job market. We managed to pack in over thirty staff in the small room we had assigned, but the feedback was hugely positive : “found it very useful to have Greg as a guest speaker”, “very useful to hear from Greg’s perspective”, “everyone should come on this course”, “interview with Greg was a great way to finish”.
All here at SAS would like to thanks Helga and Natalia for their support and enthusiasm on the day, which must have gone okay, as we’re back again in May. Onwards and upwards”
