Autism awareness training

We offer individually tailored autism awareness training to organisations, agencies and professionals working with individuals on the Autistic Spectrum, combining theory with methods of best working practice based upon our thirteen years experience of working for and with adults with an ASC.

Employment support

Specialist Autism Services’ autism-specific employment programme responds to barriers individuals on the spectrum may face when aiming to find employment and progress towards their work-related goals.

Autism specific counselling

Specialist Autism Services’ autism-specific counselling service is unique in that therapy is structured around an individual’s autistic needs. The service offers a confidential and safe space to explore and come to terms with a new diagnosis or to make sense of how your condition impacts on all aspects of your life.

Social Skills Learning Programme

A structured programme of daily small group social skills workshops designed to provide opportunities for individuals to develop social and life skills, independence and build confidence in a non-pressured and engaging environment.

Community outreach support

Specialist Autism Services’ community outreach service provides a personalised support package that enables an individual to seek new experiences and work towards their personal goals.

Social skills evening

Alongside daily Social Skills Workshops, Specialist Autism Services also provides a weekly Social Skills Evening to provide opportunities for individuals that cannot otherwise access daytime support to develop social skills, build confidence and increase independence.

Social Enterprise

In line with our strategic aims, Specialist Autism Services is committed to developing projects across Yorkshire that provide meaningful employment experience for adults with autism, alongside our direct support provision. During 2016 we are excited to be supporting the launch of a number of social enterprise initiatives that will do just that.
