Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2015/2016
Councillor Chapman has a real interest in mental health and adult social care issues, especially in regard to helping people with learning difficulties. In line with this she has chosen the Specialist Autism Services – Sacar as her charity this year.
Sacar is a registered charity working in collaboration with Specialist Autism Services (a not for profit Community Interest Company) working exclusively for and with adults with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Their mission is to support adults with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome through the provision of health, education, training, sports, creative arts and counselling activities which promote their social inclusion, training opportunities and ultimately employability.
