On Monday 25th September 2017 the Community Engagement & Employability workshop went into Leeds City Centre to support one of our members wishing to try the “wrong shop” activity, as part of our self-esteem & confidence project.

The idea is to go into a shop & ask for an item you know they do not stock. This way you know it is a mistake & it gives you the opportunity to deal with being wrong & others reactions.

“I feel more confident now, it was not as bad as I thought it would be” – R.H

“It was funny” – D.B.

We also travelled to Bramley to visit Autism Bricks, this was very interesting and we would like to thank H.C. for her time & for providing us with all the information so we can gain work experience in the near future. We found the ideas & creations really interesting & we are looking forward to getting more involved!

“It was really interesting” – D.B

“Everyone’s friendly, kind & all are really passionate about what they are doing & put a lot of time into it” – R.D.
