Employee Benefits
Our Staff Team
Specialist Autism Services wouldn’t be able to deliver our services for our members without our employees. Our employees are a huge part of what makes Specialist Autism Services great.
It’s our employee’s dedication to ensuring the progression and development of our members that brings the positive outcomes that we are so proud of.

Employee Benefits
Pension
As an employee, you are automatically enrolled on to our pension scheme from day one of your employment with us. It’s available to all new starters (subject to you meeting eligibility criteria), and Specialist Autism Services provides additional contributions of 3% of eligible earnings, helping your retirement savings pot to grow. If, however, you would rather not be on the pension scheme, no problem, you have the option to opt out.
Salaries
We pay competitive rates for our sector and regularly monitor local market information to help ensure we continue to be as competitive as we can.
Employee Benefits
Annual Leave
Specialist Autism Services employees receive at least 28 days’ leave a year (including bank holidays) pro rata for people who work part time, when they start working for us.
With every 12 months of service up to 5 years we add an additional day of leave to an employee’s allowance, meaning after 5 years’ service employees receive 33 days’ leave, pro rata.
Birthday Leave
All employees of Specialist Autism Services receive an additional day of leave every year to take for their birthday, allowing you time to celebrate with your family and friends.
Employee Benefits
Autism Specific Training
As a Specialist Autism Services employee, you’ll be supported to receive all of the training and development you need to become fully competent in supporting people on the autism spectrum. Specialist Autism Services tailors all training delivered to apply specifically to working with people on the autism spectrum. This includes a comprehensive induction, access to e-learning, coaching, and face to face training.
The training we deliver has been recognised nationally and is not only delivered to our staff team but to employees of local authorities, the fire service, prison services, to name but a few.

Sociable Work Hours
We take into account employees with young families needing to get their children to school in a morning and also the traffic congestion for staff when needing to be at a workplace for 9:00. With that in mind, our working hours for our Skills Mentors (Support Workers) are between the hours of 9:30 and 16:45.
Employee Benefits
Staff Rewards
Specialist Autism Services employees gain access to the ‘Staff Treats’ benefits package, which not only includes access to thousands of discounts and rewards across shops, restaurants, gyms, cinemas and days out, but also an Employee Assistance Programme, including telephone and face-to-face support options, as well as support for financial wellbeing and legal support.
